About#
We host math related activities such as competitions, lessons, team based problem solving, guest speakers, and giving math advice. Meetings are at S106 (Mr. Tran’s room) every tuesday afterschool (3:50 - 4:40). Lessons and problems are on topics that aren’t usually seen in your normal classroom, including discrete math, geometry, and number theory. Every first tuesday of the month, the club takes the CAML (California Math League), with other competitions sprinkled around the school year. Our math philosophy is that everyone is creative enough to enjoy any problem they face, it’s just that many people face a common stereotype with “genius” level math. We solve this branding issue by promoting team based activities, less lectures, and personalized help and advice.
